WHAT’S POSSIBLE IN SIX WEEKS?
Let’s use the example of severe tear of the MCL (medical collateral ligament) in the knee, which is one of the commonest injuries we see during the ski season. You may have found your ski trip cut short, or even been medevac’d off the mountain.
We’d initially take you through a process of reducing inflammation, restoring range of movement in your knee and reducing your pain. We might use tools such as Winback TECAR therapy to get you moving more comfortably, quicker, and blood flow restriction training to get you loading early on.
You’d follow a specific exercise strengthening programme, tailored to your requirements and we’d work on restoring balance and stability.
We’d make use of our full range of soft tissue treatments and acupuncture to improve tissue healing and the programme includes 4 sports massage sessions.
Your progress would be tracked with key measurements, so we know when the time is right to push you further.
We’d progress you through dynamic movements and plyometric activities, and then introduce sports specific skills. So, whether you’re keen to get back on the slopes later in the season, or be ready for returning to football, we’ll make sure you’re ready and robust in six weeks.
